Sunday's baking day

Some people may tell you that Sunday is church day but here in this household, Sunday is our baking day!

Ever since I was a child, my mother would always bake something special to end the weekend in the best way possible and it is a tradition that is still continuing. The main reason behind this is that baking is all about sharing. My grandmother lives downstairs and on Sundays she always receive the visit of her son. Thus, my mom would share whatever she baked that weekend with them and we would sat and have tea together.

This Sunday I decided to put my apron on and make an apple crumble cake as it is one of my grandmother’s favorite cake and I know that she will truly appreciate it when I will share a slice or two with her.

I used Donal Skenan’s recipe. It is very easy to follow and absolutely delicious. He is one my favorite bakers/cook that I have discovered on YouTube. You can find the recipe over on his own blog.

Here's some pictures of my Sunday baking process. Hope you'll enjoy.
